I'm Billy Ohmer Jr., founder of Ascension Health & Wealth, and my path to this work wasn't a straight line. I spent years as a production operator in the chemical industry — working alongside people who worked hard their whole lives and were counting on retirement to finally give them some peace.

What I saw was troubling. People approaching Medicare with no guidance, no one explaining their options clearly, and too many advisors more interested in a commission than a client. Families making the wrong choices not because they weren't smart — but because nobody took the time to sit down and explain it to them honestly.

So I built Ascension to be the firm I wish those people had. One that educates first, never pressures, and handles every piece of the retirement puzzle — Medicare, supplemental health protection, and safe-money retirement income — under one roof.

Outside of work, I'm a husband, a father of four, and an active member of my local church. Serving my community isn't just what I do professionally — it's who I am.
